PoC and MVP often get mixed up in AI initiatives — and then a PoC turns into an endless demo.
PoC (Proof of Concept)
Goal: prove it works technically. Typically:
- data access and preparation,
- integrations,
- quality evaluation,
- key risks.
MVP (Minimum Viable Product)
Goal: run inside a real business process. Typically:
- workflow and exception handling,
- roles and access,
- monitoring,
- impact measurement.
What leadership wants to see
- baseline vs after-change,
- a clear metric (time, cost, conversion, quality),
- a scaling plan and risk controls.
A good starting point is the AI implementation (30/60/90 days) delivery framework.
